Recognition awards and awards events send out simple yet strong messages that are easy for people to identify with. So when the awards neglect a prominent segment, it really sends out the wrong message to a lot of people.

There are lots of women entrepreneurs running great businesses, and also a lot of young entrepreneurs (both male and female) that are doing amazing and progressive things. We create the awards that help to recognize lots of them every day at http://www.eclipseawards.com

In fact, Business in Vancouver's "Influential Women in Business" Awards are now taking nominations, so if you know any great businesswomen, here's a chance to help get them some well deserved recognition: http://www.biv.com/iwib/

Re: The Sad State of Vancouver’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

Thank you for writing this post!

Re: The Sad State of Vancouver’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

Thank you for writing this post!
